he's trying to make an effort to get to know everyone. maybe people should just give him a chance. geez.
Oh, sure. You'll make plans and everyone will be excited because they are finally going to come face to face with him and then he doesn't show...it sounds vaguely familiar. 8)

i think what we have here is a failure to communicate.

i look at what i wrote and i meant more of, like, a cookout by a lake. I used 'retreat' at the time because someone was talking to me about a retreat they were going on. i dunno...it's all my fault.

but i was thinking more of, like, a cookout on a Saturday afternoon. hence the whole 'not that far from the city, but far enough to be an escape' sort of thing i mentioned.

and i chose a lake because, hey, lakes are fun, and i know that some of you forkers are outdoors-y types and might appreciate that sort of thing.

mr j, maybe tacos would be a better choice and it's easy peasy no muss no fuss, a couple of hours out of a day, picnics require a whole day.
