Yeah but does the world really need another vacuous happybot (no offense,
.), proclaiming that the world is sunshine and lollypops, and insisting that everyone else feel the same?
The world doesn't really need anymore people, period.
People who are happy all the time have their charms, but none of them are friends of mine... I think it's because they're not very interesting. Also, I find it hard to trust them at first, because I've found that often people who act like that are really just complete fakes, and they'd stab you in the back as soon as look at you.
Now stop giving me things to read / reply to - I'm supposed to be writing my paper about the Nazi.

I don't feel anyone around here (that I've noticed) is happy all the time, so I'm still confused at what Dayla is getting at. I don't feel the need (mostly) to come round here moaning and groaning and I doubt seriously if anyone around here would like that of me or anyone else.
I do see this place as fun and lively....and why should an emote smiley matter anyway. I can only assume perhaps someone said something perceived as bitchy along the way and tried to play it off with a smiley??? But honestly....whatever. Can't see where that matters much in the scheme of things either.
I'm trying to understand what this thread is all about and why suddenly people must wear a "bitchy" arm band...but alas I'm still just too damn happy for it....maybe when my PMS kicks in.

i didnt say everyone is happy all the time or that everyone should be bitchy. i said it's been a little weird. i believe my words were "very poe".
i was trying to say (on a different tangent than the thread started on) that if you have a negative opinion of something you should just say it and not follow it with a giggle/smiley/whatever to make it seem like you're maybe/sorta kidding.
basically i agree with what lennon said: "i have spent countless hours wondering why a majority of the american population insists on living in a politically correct society. why have we become so weak that someone that might be genuinely trying to tell us the truth about ourselves is chastised?"
if you have an opinion about something either say it and stand by it or just keep it to yourself. if you have to play the "just kidding" game, whats the point?
plus people don't "smile" online. you're physically typing out a smile. theres an effort on your part to tell other people you're smiling. not like a natural smile in the real world (where i do happen to smile a lot) that is uncontrollable. and i didnt say that every time a person smiles they are fake and should die a thousand deaths.
lawd have mercy.

Amen brutha.fuck the world.
I'll stand by that until the day I sit down.
squeezle and I were just discussing the other day how long it will be before we each have a "FTW" tattoo (pretty common in "our" community). It will happen.
