While a woman is far overdue for the big chair, Hillary is too much of a self-serving bitch.
Oh? As opposed to all the selfless, humanitarian male politicians?

Contrary to what many think, the opposite of "self-serving bitch" is NOT "ambitious and assertive"!

Sybil
Are you on the list?

No, I equally hate many male politicians. She's just really really slimey.

I'm waiting till they pick a winner to vote because I'm tired of always voting for the loser.

I'm 1 for 5 on presidents right now and 0 for However Many on gubners.
That sounds like me. (Sometimes I think I should vote for the person I like the least so that they'll lose.) The only election where I picked the winner was Clinton's second term. My very first election, I voted for John Anderson - still have a button from the rally at Lee Park.

And I picked one winner at governor - Mark White. I didn't live in Texas for Ann Richards' campaign but I loved her and would have voted for her.

When she was in kindergarten, my daughter picked Bob Dole over Clinton in her school election.. I have no idea why except that maybe with the exception of Fort Worth, we've lived in fairly conservative areas. I still tease her about it.

(Yes, Fort Worth IS in Texas and is still conservative but at least I had a variety of signs in my neighborhood here for the governor's race. I knew two other families in my Louisiana town who voted for someone other than Bush in his first presidential run.)

   that was frikkin hilarious.

and i just want to say about that initial story: what is so hard about inserting the word "person" or "man" or "woman," as the case may be, behind the word black. or hispanic, or white, for that matter.

the first "black." it just sounds so douchebag-ish.

Hillary and Barack are front-runners, and the thing about front-runners is that they tend not to do well in the end (anyone remember Howard Dean?).
exactly. bill clinton was a no name and was never the 'front runner' until the end of the democratic primary season. he came out of left field to be the democratic candidate.

btw- mr clinton is speaking at nokia on feb 8. tix range from $175-$40. if you log on to ticketmaster by 10pm cst tonight you can catch the presale. presale code word is 'saxophone'

Yeah, and Kerry was "left for dead" in New Hampshire. Look how well that served us all.

pollingreport lists these for dems:

1) Clinton
2) Obama
3) Edwards
4) Gore
5) Kerry
6) Unsure
7) Biden
8) Clark
9) Sharpton
10+) Various at 1-2%

republicans:

1) Giuliani
2) McCain
3) Rice
4) Gingrich
5) Unsure
6) Romney
7) Frist
8) None
9+) Various at 1-2%

My prediction would be Giuliani-McCain or McCain-Giuliani defeats Biden-Obama with the outside chance that Giuliani's campaign goes down in flames over his past and lack of hardline right support and he gets the Max Cleland treatment. Maybe Romney takes his place on the undercard.

Yeah, I saw that in preview, but I liked it (and Clark) too much to re-format my numbers

With those two handsome, fresh-faced men, campaign posters would look like a Macy's circular. "Men's Suits, 20% off!"

I like him, but he promised New Mexicans he wouldn't and it appears he intends to keep his promise !?!
