That's what I figured. I don't dig slime either, but if the pie or cobbler is cooked so that most of the moisture is gone and it's good and dense, then I'm all for it.ew. no. i can't. the slimy fruitiness of it just makes me gag.What about cobbler then?it's mostly textural.

canned pie filling is the worst of the worst...just make it yourself that what i say. It only takes some fruit, sugar, spices, and a little flour or tapioca to thicken. easy as pie.
