how's this going?

mr 'i find westaway's situation much more interesting than the 2008 election' j

sticking your head in the sand won't make it go away.
honestly, i'd rather hear about the DiLillo-like exploits of Young Master Westway than to have to bear another day of incessant and often hateful babbling ON BOTH SIDES about Election 2008.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to spend my evening watching Yasujiro Ozu DVD's to make me feel cheerful, and this bottle of Theraflu might make this headache go away, and some Peanut Butter and Cinnamon cookies are definitely calling my name...

mr 'who doesn't like cookies?' j

Not surprizing you only like to argue about politics when your "side" is winning. Enjoy your sour grapes - oh shoot, I mean cookies, J! :]

1. i learned from the 2004 forum meltdown that politics can end friendships, and so i toned it down. i still lost one of my best friends over politics in 2008. i am not the political person i was back then; i've mellowed with age, and i've become a deep believer in the individual, not the state.

2. i was not arguing politics, nor do i have a case of sour grapes. i am just to the point where i believe the individual, not the government, is the most important factor for bettering society. honestly, i don't care for either choice, nor do i like the hatred and negativity that has poured out from BOTH SIDES. claim otherwise, but there has been negativity on both sides from supporters, and, frankly, i could care less. call it 'sour grapes' because 'my side' isn't winning if you want to; i know how i stand, i know how i feel.

i have no idea who dilillo is so i will assume you're referring to dilios, as in the narrator from 300

honestly, i'm almost positive i heard you say the same thing back around the 2004 election. either it's a typo, or history repeats itself, or i have the biggest swiss cheese brain on record.

i look forward to seeing what happens in the future.

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to invoke him by "saying" it "out loud."
