what's really cool this election is that so many people are coming out to do things they've never done...showing a confidence and support in a candidate...with such emotion and thought. very cool.

Anybody else listen to the This American Life episode they dedicated to the housing crisis? It was interesting, they kinda broke it down... Not that that means I know anything about Lehman Brother's colapse. But I understand Fannie and Freddie a wee bit better.

Yep. It helped make a lot of sense out of it. It's titled "The Giant Pool of Money" and it's available as a podcast (and here's the transcript. A couple of weeks ago there was a TAL episode titled "Enforcers" and one of the acts followed up on it and explained why the FCC has been such a lame duck in the recent process of bailing out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The Giant Pool of Money was one of the most popular episodes of TAL and as a result Alex Blumberg and Adam Davidson now have a show called Planet Money. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
