I mean at least she's not Sandra big boobs blond and her semi homemade.
You know -- I saw one of those chef profile shows on Food Network, and she went through a lot of crap growing up. Raising her siblings while their single mom worked, etc. I respected her more after that.

Lot's of people go thru crap growing up...single parents, helping with the other kids, living in ghettos and such. Not saying it's not hard, but it's not uncommon.

What I don't like about her show is that it's always too much. Her "table scapes" make me want to throw up. Her aesthetic is just awful and her food is pretty trashy. Way too processed for my tastes. Seems you could do the same things without opening some prepackaged food full of HFCS and other crap.

yeah, I'd say she likes a drink or two or three....she should just own up to it and meet Bourdain at some dive bar.

Or Giada "let me lean over in this low cut blouse so the camera can get a shot of my cleavage" DeLaurentis. Other than devastatingly good looks and a famous grandfather, what the hell is her claim to fame anyway?

And, in her defense, Rachel Ray never claimed to be a "chef" - she has said many times that she is just a cook.

yeah she's annoying too.

I do love me some Barefoot Contessa tho, I've actually made some of her recipes. I only wish she'd get a new look, oversized blouses are OVER. Ina and her gays...she's just an old faghag. I love her and Jeffrey have been married for like 30 + years and they still seem so in love. I also wish I had her kitchen.

E.W. Scripps Company owns it now, along with HGTV and some of my other favorites.

And I went to the Art Institute with E.W.'s great granddaughter. She was secretly rich, but mentioned her family's company in passing one day because I said I loved HGTV.

I can't believe I'm missing all this because I don't have cable. (I do miss HGTV, though.)
