Boar (the chops and loins at least) have the consistency of steak, but a very very good pork flavor. Nothing gamey about it.

actually I don't eat gamey or wild meats usually, just repeating what I've heard.

Wild boar were once domesticated boar introduced to the Americas back when ever. So they won't taste gamey like natural, native feral game does.

And any game you buy in a grocery store has been farm-raised so it will taste even less gamey or wild than an harvested feral animal.
