Borat

It was good.

I'd rather re-watch 4 episodes of Da Ali G show, though.

Not enough actual interaction with ignorant Americans in the movie; too many scenes with people who are in on the joke.

You'll be happy to know it only makes a 3-second appearance.

I haven't seen it yet.

Should I take a lady friend and laugh hard about the anti-femenist parts? Or should I see it with the gents to take a short break from high fiving each other?

I can't take my dudefriends and my girlfriend(s?????) to see the same movie at the same time.

I'll act like a dick in front of my girlfriend and a pussy in front of my guy friends.

No, sir. I plan to avoid combining relationship Yonker and crazyfriend Yonker for as long as possible.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that guy.

Speaking of early internet celebrities, I only learned recently that Super Greg was also Baron Cohen.

An alternate opinion about Americans as represented by Borat:

http://www.slate.com/id/2153578/?GT1=8805

On a related subject, I read an interesting comparison today. The author likened the place of class and caste in British society to that of gun ownership/2nd amendment rights in the US. The situation makes no sense to the outsider and seems like time should slowly erase it, but, in fact, the roots go so much deeper than an 'outsider' could understand. I'm not sure how true this is on either front, but I thought someone here might have an opinion.

So if I moved there and am middle class/lower middle class and not all classy would I be treated like white trash (or whatever their equivalent is)?
