is the ceo of the free congress foundation and today on npr i heard him say that itsa fact that "homosexuals are preoccupied with sex". he sounded so incredibly intelligent that i had to look him up. besides all the amazing things he's said about the foley scandal, i found this in an article he wrote for a conservative magazine about same sex marriage:
"If homosexual "marriage" becomes legal, it will be our children and grandchildren who pay the price. A growing constituency of homosexuals will work to undo welfare reform. They will work to make sure the tax system does not recognize the importance of the traditional family to our society. They will work to ensure no-fault divorce remains on the books because same sex marriages are much less stable. They will work to make homosexual sex part of sex education in public schools. They will ridicule abstinence until marriage and make it Politically Correct to do so. They don't believe in abstinence. They don't believe in the Bible or its clear instructions that marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman. There is simply no way America can remain a strong, self-reliant, God-fearing country and have states recognize homosexuals as being "married.""
I love his use of facts and sources. And his reasoning skills. Wow, I'm so embarassed of my Scandanvian roots. Thank God my mom moved to America or I could have actually been taught how to have lesbian sex in school! GROSS!

first of all, tv and movies teach kids everything about sex. second, teaching kids how to use birth control isnt promoting anal sex. obviously. third, learning how to put a condom on a banana actually made me a little scared of sex. fourth, i bet paul weyrich is in the closet (how come the gayest ones are always the most adamant that its a sin - like the dad in american beauty) and fifth, if "conservatives" werent so preocupied with sex, they wouldnt give a shit who their neighbor was having sex with.
"They will ridicule abstinence until marriage and make it Politically Correct to do so." Um, I think we can chalk that one up to MTV and the fact that people don't get married when they're 18 anymore. Perhaps I'm being silly, but I think God would rather I have premarital sex than marry the first guy I find when I'm 17 and spend the rest of my life being abused because I couldn't be bothered getting to know him first. Chastity isn't real. AND AT LEAST PREMARITAL GAY SEX DOESNT PRODUCE UNWANTED BABIES. Plus all gay sex is premarital since they're not allowed to get married, douchebag. ugh. i don't think gay marriage is that big of a deal but his retarded reasoning just makes me want to gouge my eyes out. take a basic debate class, at least. use a source. jesus h christ.

Capitalist production? We don't do that around here anymore.
If you want something done in this country, you've got to convince middle america to at least be apathetic. It is easy for their overlords to paint this as a moral threat because no one offers an alternative moral system where marriage isn't a bible-ie thing and most of them have never seen a stable, long term gay partnership (the least threatening thing I think I've ever seen). Unfortunately, the idea that this is a civil rights issue and what the hell should the government have to do with it anyway doesn't seem to work on it's own.

See, here's the problem. You can't THINK about what God wants, you silly woman. You have to ask your husband. And bring a beer with you or you just might get another fat lip and I for one wouldn't blame him.Perhaps I'm being silly, but I think God would rather I have premarital sex than marry the first guy I find when I'm 17 and spend the rest of my life being abused because I couldn't be bothered getting to know him first.
Duh.
Re: Paul Weyrich
I couldn't believe it when he said that and then when questioned about his stating it as fact, said that it was not his opinion but "the opinion of many psychologists and psychiatrists who have to deal with them " (my emphasis) - which is still just an opinion (in my opinion).is the ceo of the free congress foundation and today on npr i heard him say that itsa fact that "homosexuals are preoccupied with sex". he sounded so incredibly intelligent that i had to look him up. besides all the amazing things he's said about the foley scandal, i found this in an article he wrote for a conservative magazine about same sex marriage:
To be fair, he said "homosexuals tend to be preoccupied with sex" but you could substitute "teenage boys", "college students", "drummers", "heiresses", or "soccer players" or any number of groups of people and be just as accurate in MY opinion.
