movie about gay icon's life not gay enough?

remake of Capote to be more 'gay'

this seems like a really bad idea. i saw preview clips of it, and it was simply dreadful. it's the exact same movie as Capote. the acting is horrible. the entire premise is horrible, if you ask me...

I agree that a remake of a good biography within 2 years is not a good idea. But why do you assume they are making it "more gay?"

I just hope it doesn't win any awards so we don't have to hear more rants (from Mr. J and others) about leftist Hollywood and its gay agenda.

i saw about two minutes of promotional clips, and there wasn't one second within the film that didn't play the gay issue, didn't force the gay issue, and didn't fail to mention the fact that 'hey! i'm gay here!' Let's just say that in those two minutes, it was glaringly obvious the portrayal of Capote plays into every superficial aspect of being gay. There's a scene in Capote--and definitely brought up in Capote's own biography--that except for the first day that he was in Hokum, he didn't really feel uncomfortable about being gay, nor did people really treat him differently.

(plus the commentator on Entertainment Tonight said that it was made because some felt that Capote wasn't gay enough)
